A gift for a friend,
by make and of mend,
of crystal and pearl,
of wires that curl.
They clip on in fashion,
by wearers impassioned,
like things of before,
the ways of old yore.

The darling earrings in their handmade gift box.

The gift box above is closed for apt presentation.
This earring-crafting project began when I simply needed a new pair of earrings to wear to tea one afternoon. The trouble however, was due to the fact that I haven't pierced my ears (of this decision, I dare say I am rather proud). Finding earrings for such ears in this modern day world can be a slight challenge, so I created my own.
One afternoon, I peered up from my reading of Cicero, to see that a friend of mine didn't succumb to the ear-piercing craze either. Therefore, I decided to surprise her with a pair of clip-on's of her very own!
